Our Story
A lineage carried in the hands.
Hakina Hanna & Products was born from listening — to grandmothers grinding karité, to herbalists measuring leaves by feel, to the long, patient rhythm of the Malian seasons. We exist to honor that knowledge, and to share it with respect.

Where we come from
Mali's healing traditions are among the oldest continuous botanical practices in the world. From the Niger River's banks to the dry savanna, communities have cultivated a relationship with plants that is generous, attentive, and never extractive. The knowledge moves through songs, gestures, and the everyday gifts of mothers to daughters.
What we make
Each Hakina Hanna & Products piece begins with a question to a keeper of tradition: how was this used, and how should it be honored today? Our blends are slow, our oils are clean, and our packaging is quiet — designed to belong in the bathrooms, kitchens and rituals of modern life.
How we work
- Sourced through long-term relationships with Malian farmers and gatherers.
- Produced in small batches, with respect for seasons and yields.
- Educational in tone — never medical. Always honest about what we know and what we don't.
Tradition is not a museum. It is a living practice.
— A Malian saying we hold close.
